We are all gripped by fear when we want to share our creative activities. There is this voice in our minds that says, “It’s not worth it, and it will be embarrassing if no one sees your work.” Usually, in that situation, we drop it in believing that only a few people can do marvelous work. In truth, it is in showing up every day, those so-called few people doing worthwhile creative work.
Show Your Work is an incredible book for those who are in creative fields. It has advice that propels you to do meaningful work and eases you up by assuring you fear is something you make up. Books like these usually look incomplete and need more depth, but surprisingly, though chapters are small, you feel you got enough.
One thing I like to talk about is having a space for your curiosities. We generally wouldn’t express things we like, and we keep them to ourselves. But what is unique is the fact that we have our interests and likings. Though in the eyes of others, they may look small, eventually you will attract people who have common interests like you.
This book is, I feel, very useful for my fellow bookstagrammers. I highly recommend it to everyone. You will have a good time with this, I guarantee.
