Although the popular narrative says all we humans desire and want the same, if we closely observe, men and women want different things. Years of evolution have hardwired us to seek certain things in our lives and our relationships. We all have our preferences, and just to sound politically correct, we cannot go against them.
There has been this nagging question for most men: what does a woman want? People puzzled over the question and studied evolutionary psychology. Though researchers interpret events differently, a few commonalities can be seen in the studies. Women want men who have resources and can provide a sense of security and protection to their offspring.
Usually, the majority think men only want sex out of relationships. Just that, nothing else matters. But men want to be loved and seen as the “one.” They crave emotional bonding with their partner. If we know our differences, we get better at forming relationships. We can offer what the opposite person wants.
I am reserving my criticisms of the book for the second post (there are so many thoughts to share). If you want to read the book, keep in mind that this book was published in 2009; some concepts are outdated and might trigger vehement emotions. If that’s okay for you, proceed with reading.
