Language enables us to communicate, collaborate, and connect with people. Although we use a wide range of words, some words are more powerful than others. And the words you use reveal something about you, your personality, your feelings, and your insecurities. If you want to influence people, you have to look at the words you are using.
Words just don’t convey information; they also convey confidence, who has the authority, who has the power, and who has the upper hand in negotiations. Despite having an awareness of how words impact our lives, we rarely engage in such conversations. Awareness isn’t enough; we have to practice.
By stitching your words according to the given situation, you can leave an impression on the people. To do that, you need to be mindful of how you converse and, as I mentioned before, what words you use to convey information. And, you need to have situational awareness; some words are ill-suited in some situations.
Words Magic is a good read but has writing issues. Some sentences are repetitive, and editing could have been tighter. If you forgive these, you can go for this book. I recommend it.
