When we start something creative, a million thoughts run in our minds about whether our endeavor is worth pursuing, whether people like what we are doing, and many more. We get bogged down by our self-doubt and pessimistic thinking. Not only does it impact what we are doing, but we also lose enthusiasm to continue.
Keep Going is as simple and useful a book as you could expect from Austin Kleon. Perhaps because I know most of the stuff mentioned in the book, I didn’t enjoy it as much as I enjoyed his other works, Steal Like an Artist and Show Your Work. But it would be a remarkable read for beginners.
At the beginning of the book, Austin talked about the importance of having a routine. I believe everyone has to have a routine that squeezes out much of the day. If we wait for inspiration to come, we have to wait weeks and sometimes months. But when we have a routine, we know what we need to do in a day despite the ups and downs of life.
The author’s books made an impact on my life in a short period. I recommend reading all his books. You will find lots of valuable information that could potentially alter your life. Let me know your thoughts after reading them.
