Modern life has become humdrum. In this busy life with so many activities to accomplish, we have little time to enjoy. We go to the movies with a feeling we need to finish work and attend a meeting. Some would visit exotic places, believing they could escape the boringness of life.

But little they did know, wherever we go, our anxious mind follows us. What if we could enjoy boring activities of life? Or what if we could have a routine that is tedious and yet gives us enjoyment? This brings us to the concept of optimal experience.

Optimal experience is a state in which people are so involved that everything else fades away; the experience is so enjoyable that people will do it again. But how can someone be in an optimal experience state?

First, the activities had to have chances of being completed. Second, you must be able to concentrate on those activities. Third, you need to set goals for the activity you have undertaken.

If these steps are right, you are fully involved in the activity, hours pass like minutes, and you forget about all frustrations of life. Since it gives enjoyment, you will do it again.

I haven’t read this book completely. But so far, it’s really good. I can say that this is going to be my favorite book of the month. You will love it; give it a read.
