Mastering a skill is not easy. In modern times, we inevitably fall for what society is expecting from us. We do jobs that don’t bring contentment and satisfaction to our lives. For money and survival, we surrender to live a passive life. But it doesn’t have to be that way; we can be creative and do what we love to do.
First of all, you find out your primal inclinations or natural tendencies. These are often repressed as we grow up. What is the activity that you can do easily and yet find exhilarating? Recall your memories where you felt alive and jot them down.
Remember, to master something, you must love the subject and feel a profound connection to it. Once you know what activity it is, you need to find possibilities for learning it.
It is important to acquire practical knowledge as much as possible because it is the ultimate commodity. It will be useful in the future.
It is worth saying that while learning, initially it is boring and painful. But you need to accept it wholeheartedly. Also, it is foolish to think everything has to be pleasurable. Only a fool thinks that way. Practice the skill with intense focus for 2-3 hours every day.
Since we are human beings, dealing with people is unavoidable. People come with different varieties and flavors. It is naive to assume that they wish for your success. Everyone has a hidden and dark side that you don’t know. Some people constantly stir up drama and drag us into it (one of my classmates does that).
Rather than forming relationships too early, it is important to observe people from a distance, knowing their behavior and actions in the past. Life is too short. Have good people in your life.
Mastering a skill isn’t enough; you need to make use of it. Though you may face failures initially, learn from feedback and get back on track.
