We often think about why some companies are great and some companies stay where they are without development. To this question, the author has answers.
Great companies have great leaders. They are modest, ambitious, and driven. When things go wrong, they take full responsibility rather than blaming others. When a company achieves success, they don’t take credit; instead, they attribute success to others.
Great companies hire the right people. Instead of filling the company with unskilled and talentless people, they seek the right people if it takes time. When the right people are on the bus, the company doesn’t have to think about motivating them.
Great companies confront brutal facts rather than decisions based on their assumptions. People in great companies diagnose the situation and come up with solutions. They ask questions, conduct autopsies, and then make good decisions.
Also, in great companies, culture is everything. Right people are disciplined; they think in a disciplined way and take disciplined action. It is impossible to see great results if people are not self-disciplined.
