I read this book after seeing it all over my feed. I thought, why not give it a try? Well, that’s the first mistake I made. Most of the contents of this are commonsensical, cliché, and generic. I am trying to process why this is popular in the first place.
Also to my surprise, it has outdated stuff like “dopamine is a happy hormone.” Even though, in reality, it is not. The author had tried to tell many things, but there are no in-depth explanations; he barely scratched the surface.
Another thing I noticed is how the author thinks of readers as lazy and not knowing anything. His advice was like, if you are like this, do that. Too cliche. Some suggestions are like sleeping more, visualizing, exercising, and saying affirmations to manage emotions.
The self-improvement industry, I think, thrives on topics like emotions. Conjure up a catchy title, copy-paste some famous quotes, take some content from other self-help books and change names, and present it as a life-changing book.
You can skip this book. I don’t even recommend it for beginners. A book I regret reading.
